Jolyon features on Sky F1's 'Midweek Report'

Jolyon Palmer appeared on Sky Sports F1's 'Midweek Report' on Wednesday (10 September), alongside current Porsche LMP1 driver and former F1 racer winner Mark Webber, to discuss the Italian Grand Prix and all the most recent Formula One news. Hosted by Natalie Pinkham, the 30-minute long show was first broadcast on Sky Sport's F1 channel at 20:30 on Wednesday night and is now available online for the next 30 days.

Jolyon took part in his eighth Free Practice session of the year in Italy last week, as he enjoyed more strong running to finish in 15th place in FP1 at the historic Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. The Lotus F1 Team Third and Reserve Driver collected valuable data, completing 28 laps in the 90-minute session. The Southwater racer will take part in a number of further FP1 sessions this season as part of his role with the Enstone-based outfit.

In Sunday's Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton romped home to claim his seventh win of the season, and 40th of his career, despite late drama. The reigning world champion's tyres were adjudged to be below the minimum pressure on the grid, but he avoided punishment and kept the win. The Brit's team-mate Nico Rosberg suffered an engine failure with a few laps to go and retired, with Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel taking second ahead of Felipe Massa's Williams.

Jolyon's team-mates at Lotus F1 Team, Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado, suffered frustrating afternoons and were early retirements, with both suffering accident damage at the very first corner. The team will be aiming to bounce back at the next Grand Prix of the 2015 season, which will be held on the Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore (18-20 September).

You can watch the 'Midweek Report' online for the next month via Sky Go.
