Busy weekend for Jolyon in Singapore

Lotus F1 Team Third and Reserve Driver Jolyon Palmer headed to the Far East for the Singapore Grand Prix last weekend (18-20 September), and was busy with a number of off-track commitments, in addition to his role contributing to the Enstone-based squad's fortunes on-track.

The 24-year-old was not be driving the E23 Hybrid in Friday's Free Practice session around the city streets, but carried out his regular duties for Lotus F1 Team, including participation in tyre and set-up meetings.

Jolyon also tookpart in the prestigious Amber Lounge Fashion Show following qualifying on Saturday evening. The event celebrated Singapore's 50th birthday and featured a number of Formula One drivers debuting Ted Baker's AW15 collection. Jolyon was joined on the runway by Carmen Jorda, development driver for Lotus F1 Team, and other reserve drivers including Esteban Gutierrez, Adrian Sutil, Raffaele Marciello, Stoffel Vandoorne and Fabio Leimer.

Singapore holds good memories for Jolyon as he claimed a dominant victory on the Marina Bay Street Circuit in 2013, taking the fastest lap having qualified on pole position, whilst racing in the GP2 Series. The Southwater racer has impressed in his Lotus F1 Team outings so far this year, most recently carrying out crucial front-wing development work in Free Practice One on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps and Monza circuits in Belgium and Italy.
