Brazilian Free Practice action for Jolyon this Friday

Lotus F1 Team Third and Reserve Driver Jolyon Palmer will get behind the wheel of the E23 Hybrid in this Friday's (November 13) Free Practice One session ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The 24-year-old will take to the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo for the opening 90-minute session of the F1 weekend, his maiden appearance on the track.

The Southwater racer has competed in 11 FP1 sessions so far in 2015, most recently in Mexico where he finished 15th fastest as Formula One returned to the redeveloped 2.67-mile circuit in Mexico City. Jolyon will also take part in the final Grand Prix weekend of the year on the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi (November 27), where he will participate in FP1 once again as the curtain comes down on the F1 season.

Before the F1 season finale however, Jolyon will take part in the Race Of Champions and the Race of Champions Nations Cup, which will be held at London's Olympic Stadium on November 20/21. The Nations Cup pits 10 teams each with two drivers against each other, and Jolyon will join 2015 DTM Champion Pascal Wehrlein in Team Young Stars, with the 2014 GP2 Champion set to face recently-crowned MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo in his first race on Friday night. Jolyon will then compete in the Race Of Champions itself on Saturday, where drivers battle flat-out for individual glory to be crowned as 'Champion of Champions'.

Free Practice One in Brazil will begin at 12:00 UK time on November 13. You can follow all the action on Sky Sports F1 channel from 11:45 and with updates on Jolyon's official website
