Jolyon commentates on Free Practice in Australia

Jolyon Palmer commentated on Sky Sports F1's coverage of Friday's Free Practice Two session ahead of the Australian Grand Prix. In addition to his duties as Third and Reserve driver for Lotus F1 Team, the 2014 GP2 Champion joined regular commentator David Croft to provide insight and analysis into one of the very first sessions of the new Formula One season.

The second and final practice session of the day began at 16:30pm local time (05:30am GMT) and lasted for 90 minutes. There were plenty of talking points both on and off the track for Jolyon to discuss including the race to catch Mercedes, Sauber Formula 1 team's driver dispute and the return of Manor Marussia to the grid.

The Mercedes pairing of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton dominated the session with Nico Rosberg posting the fastest time of 1m27.697s just beating the 1m27.797s set by his British teammate.

Jolyon will be present at each Grand Prix this season and will be driving Lotus F1 Team's E23 Hybrid in a significant number of Free Practice One sessions throughout the year. Jolyon has already successfully driven the car, completing 77 laps at the official pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona last month.
