Jolyon Palmer posted the third fastest time in GP2 practice at Monza this morning.

The 23-year-old led the way early in the session, with two quickest times before pitting with 28 minutes remaining while sitting second.

Jolyon returned to the circuit with 23 minutes still on the clock and shaved two-hundredths off his time, posting a 1m32.535s.

Pitting again with 12 minutes to go, he returned to the track with eight minutes remaining to gain more track time ahead of qualifying which starts at 14.55 UK time.

Jolyon commented: "It's a good start to the weekend to be p3 in practice. The car felt good straight away and we were consistently quick. Now we can try and fine tune the set up ahead of qualifying later."
