Palmer makes F1 debut at Abu Dhabi

GP2 Champion Jolyon Palmer made his F1 test debut at Abu Dhabi this morning (Tuesday), completing 18 laps of the Yas Marina circuit at the wheel of the Sahara Force India VJM07 car. An engine issue curtailed his morning session, but Jolyon will return to the track for the afternoon session.

After two hours, Palmer was second quickest overall with a best lap time of 1m48.350s, ahead of 2014 runner-up Nico Rosberg, before the technical issue struck.

The session will resume for the afternoon session after the lunch break at 10.00am UK time.
