Jolyon goes fastest again on Day 2 at Abu Dhabi

Jolyon continued his perfect start to pre-season testing as he set the fastest overall time for the second successive day at Abu Dhabi today (Wednesday).

Picking up from where he left off yesterday, Jolyon was fastest in the first session of the day, lapping the Yas Marina venue in 1m50.311s within the last 20 minutes of the session. This was a full six tenths faster than the best lap time of his DAMS team mate Stephane Richelmi, who held the second spot on the time sheets.

Jolyon was able to complete a total 27 laps in the morning session, comfortably more than in either of yesterday's track periods. His fastest time from the morning session remained unbeaten.

Speaking after the session, Jolyon commented, "We had another very good day, using the supersofts this morning in qualifying runs and focusing on race runs this afternoon. My best lap this morning was fastest of the day and the race runs we did were very strong as well. Everything is coming together very well with DAMS and we hope to finish the test strongly tomorrow."
