Palmer hungry for more Budapest success

Jolyon Palmer is focusing on securing his third GP2 race victory of the year in Hungary this weekend (25-27 July), after further extending his championship lead in the two races in Germany last Saturday and Sunday (19-20 July).

Pole position, a podium and a fastest lap in Germany stretched Palmer's lead to 41 points over his nearest rival, Felipe Nasr, and maintained his perfect record of front row starts at every round so far in 2014.

Jolyon won the Feature Race at the Hungaroring last year, fighting through from seventh on the grid on a tight circuit where it is notoriously difficult to overtake.

Palmer said: "It's nice to be straight back in the car in Budapest this weekend so soon after the last round. It is a track I really like, having won there last year. The aim of course is to qualify at the front again and to make sure we get the win that we've been so close to in the last couple of rounds. Overtaking is difficult so a good qualifying will be crucial."

Full coverage of rounds 13 and 14 of the 2014 GP2 season at the Hungaroring, including live timing, will be available on Jolyon's official website www.jolyonpalmer.com, while TV coverage of all sessions will be available on Sky F1's HD channel. The first practice session gets underway at 11am UK time on Friday 25 July.
