Jolyon drawn against Le Mans and Indy legends in Race of Champions

GP2 Champion Jolyon Palmer has been drawn against legends of sports car and IndyCar racing for the group stage of the Race of Champions, which takes place at the Bushy Park circuit in Barbados this weekend (13-14 December).

Jolyon will face-off against Danish legend and nine-times Le Mans 24 Hours winner Tom Kristensen, and American Ryan Hunter-Reay, who won this year's Indianapolis 500, on a special head-to-head circuit layout. The group is completed by DTM race-winner and Mercedes Grand Prix tester Pascal Wehrlein.

Wehrlein and Jolyon will be team mates in Team Young Stars in the Nations Cup, doing battle with Team France (European F3 Champion Esteban Ocon and Grand Prix racer Romain Grosjean), Team Nordic (Kristensen and World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg), and Team Americas (Hunter-Reay and racing all-rounder Robby Gordon).

The top two teams/drivers will progress from each group.
