Points for Palmer at home; podiums the target in Germany

Southwater GP2 racer Jolyon Palmer heads to the Nürburgring this weekend with the podium in his sight, after a competitive, but ultimately frustrating weekend at Silverstone.

Racing in front of tens of thousands of fans as part of the British Grand Prix, Jolyon stormed through from 20th on the grid to finish sixth in Saturday's Feature Race, with some feisty overtaking manoeuvres thrown in, for which Jolyon has now become renowned for.

Sixth in race one gave him a starting position on the second row of the grid for Sunday's Sprint Race. A slow start though saw him fall to sixth at the first corner, and he was then innocently hit by another competitor, dropping him down to 15th. Again fighting his way through the field, his weekend ended prematurely when he was bizarrely taken out by a backmarker who was being lapped.

Jolyon is now turning his attentions to rounds 11 & 12 of the championship which take place at the Nürburgring in Germany this weekend (5-7 July), where he is aiming for a top three result.

"It's great to be back racing again at the Nürburgring just a week after Silverstone. After some bad luck last weekend I'm hoping for just a clean weekend and a chance to pick up the points and hopefully a podium which I have deserved over the last few rounds."

Full coverage of rounds 11 and 12 of the 2013 GP2 season at Nurburgring, including live timing, will be available on Jolyon's official website www.jolyonpalmer.com, while TV coverage of all sessions will be available on Sky F1's HD Channel. The first practice session gets underway at 11am (UK time) on Friday 28 June.
