Jolyon Palmer hungry for big points in Budapest this weekend

Southwater GP2 racer Jolyon Palmer expects to put a run of bad luck behind him as he aims to make up ground in the F1-supporting series in Hungary this weekend (26-28 July).

The 22-year-old Carlin driver lies 10th in the standings but had a disappointing weekend last time out at the Nürburgring. He was on course for a strong result in the Feature Race until a pit stop mix up left him with a 24th place finish, but recovered well to claim 11th in the Sprint Race from the back of the grid.

Jolyon is looking back on his form from Hungary last year, where he secured a fifth and a sixth place finish, as inspiration for this weekend's double header.

"After having a strong weekend in Hungary last year I am confident that we have the chance to be fighting for podiums this weekend. As always qualifying and race one strategy will be crucial. I've dropped some points in the last couple of rounds through some bad luck so it will be important to have some good races and be back in the big points."

Full coverage of rounds 13 and 14 of the 2013 GP2 season at the Hungaroring, including live timing, will be available on Jolyon's official website www.jolyonpalmer.com , while TV coverage of all sessions will be available on Sky F1's HD Channel. The first practice session gets underway at 11am (UK time) on Friday 26 July.
