After yesterday's fantastic Feature Race win at the Hungaroring, Jolyon Palmer concluded his GP2 weekend with 12th in today's (Sunday 28 July) Sprint Race.

Following yesterday's race-winning tactical decision to double stint on medium tyres in the Feature Race, Jolyon was left to run the Sprint Race on the much less favourable softer compound tyre.

But he showed good race speed, although a slow start dropped him to 13th on the opening lap. He then ran at a pace similar to his rivals around him, despite the tyre handicap, to claim 12th at the chequered flag.

Speaking afterwards Jolyon commented: "Starting on the options I knew it was going to be tough. Unfortunately I had anti-stall off the line so I lost a number of places down to turn one. After that I kept a reasonable pace behind Dillmann for most of the race. I pushed a little bit too hard to close the gap though near the end and lost the rears on the last five laps, but still managed to finish 12th."
