The calendar for the 10th season of GP2 has been announced with eleven rounds scheduled, all of which will support the official Formula One World Championship.

Eight rounds will take place in Europe with the Bahrain, Russia and Abu Dhabi hosting the other three. Sochi in Russia is one of two brand new events on the schedule along with the Red Bull Ring in Austria which welcomes motorsport's top flight for the first time in over a decade.

The GP2 paddock will also travel out to the middle east for a pre-season testing programme which will include three day tests at both Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain's Sakhir circuit.

The season will start just two weeks later in Bahrain with Jolyon Palmer driving for DAMS.
