Jolyon looks to end GP2 season on a high in Singapore

Jolyon Palmer is hoping to end his 2012 GP2 season on a high during this weekend's (21-23 September) final rounds at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.

The 21-year-old from Southwater secured two points finishes at the last event at Monza, including an excellent podium in Sunday's Sprint Race - his third of the season to add to his win at Monaco and top three finish at Silverstone.

He hopes that momentum will carry through to rounds 23 and 24 this weekend to round off a successful second season in the F1 feeder-series. "I can't wait for Singapore," said Jolyon.
"The track is new for everyone and so getting up to speed quickly will be crucial. I have been quick on street circuits this year so hopefully that will translate into good results this weekend but it is an unknown for everybody. The race will be tough as humidity and temperatures will both be high and unlike F1, we are racing in the heat of the day but I am looking forward to the challenge."

The final rounds (23 & 24) of the 2012 GP2 Series take place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore from 21-23 September, with full coverage on Jolyon's website www.jolyonpalmer.com. All four GP2 sessions will also be screened live in the UK on the new Sky Sports F1 channel.
