Jolyon completes positive morning test session in Barcelona

Jolyon Palmer enjoyed a productive morning during today's (Wednesday) GP2 test at a wet Circuit de Catalunya, using the session to work on setup improvements for his iSport car.

Drivers were greeted with rain for the start of the session with few choosing to venture out onto the wet track, apart from to conduct installation laps. By the midway stage only three drivers had set competitive lap times with rain continuing to fall until the final 20 minutes when the track finally began to dry out.

However, three red flags severely hampered running in the closing stages with Jolyon, completing a total of 25 laps, to end 12th quickest.

Speaking afterwards Jolyon said: "I did a lot of running and we were able to make good progress with set up as the conditions were stable. In the end as the track started drying out I didn't get a lap in due to red flags but I am happy overall that we have got through a good amount despite the wet conditions."

Testing continues this afternoon with full coverage on Jolyon's official website.
