Jolyon Palmer joins Lotus GP squad at GP2 Jerez winter test

Monaco GP2 race winner Jolyon Palmer will test with the Lotus GP team at Spain's Jerez circuit next week.

The 21-year-old Briton from Southwater, West Sussex, has been selected to test with the French squad that ran James Calado and Esteban Gutierrez this season, narrowly missing out on the Teams' title. Jolyon will also return to iSport, the team he drove for during the 2012 GP2 season, for further testing over the two days.

Jolyon is eager to return to the cockpit following a productive test at Barcelona with iSport earlier this month. He said: "I'm very happy to be back in a GP2 car in Jerez next week. I will be testing for Lotus GP and also iSport again. I'm looking forward to working with a new team and see how we work together and it will be good to have more time with iSport as well. Hopefully the weather will be dry and we can have some meaningful testing."

The two day GP2 winter test at Jerez will begin on Thursday 22 November with full coverage available at Jolyon's official website www.jolyonpalmer.com.
