Productive morning session for Palmer in Jerez test

Jolyon Palmer returned to his iSport team for today's (Friday) final GP2 test of the season with the Monaco race-winner completing the morning programme at the Jerez circuit, and expecting further improvements this afternoon.

Unlike the previous day, drivers were greeted with dry, bright conditions for the morning stint although the session was hampered by two red flags caused by Daniel Juncadella and Simon Trummer. Jolyon, back with the team he ran with during the 2012 Series, ended P19 at the chequered flag ahead of the final test session this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Arden's Johnny Cecotto headed the morning timesheets followed by Felipe Nasr driving for Carlin and Adrian Quaife Hobbs, also running with Arden, in third.

"I was happy with my driving and the car had a good balance but I just couldn't find the lap time," said Jolyon.

Full coverage of the afternoon test will be available on Jolyon's official website.
