Jolyon appears on main stage at Autosport International Show

British driver Jolyon Palmer discussed his plans for his forthcoming second season of GP2 during last weekend's Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

The 20-year-old from Southwater has signed for iSport for this year after a promising rookie campaign in 2011 driving for Arden. Speaking live on the main stage at the world's leading indoor motorsport event, Jolyon told visitors that he has his sights set on finishing in the top three this year.

Jolyon went on to discuss his new deal with leading British outfit iSport, which has amassed a total of 17 wins in the main GP2 series since its formation in 2005, and how he's looking forward to be racing alongside experienced team-mate and GP2 race winner Marcus Ericsson.

"This is my second year in GP2 and I'm very happy to be with iSport," said Jolyon. "They've put a number of drivers in Formula 1 like Timo Glock and Bruno Senna, had a number of podiums last year and have a good set of engineers.

"You need someone like Marcus [Ericsson] as a benchmark because of the lack of track time, so it was a big consideration of mine. He's quick and proven at this level, so we should work together well."
