Jolyon to make guest appearance at Top Gear Live

Jolyon Palmer will be heading to London's ExCeL arena this weekend (24-27 November) to take part in a special 'Sons of F1' karting event as part of the Top Gear Live show.

The 20-year-old, son of former Grand Prix racer Jonathan, will line-up alongside a number of current racing stars who all share famous fathers to compete in the one-off race.

Fellow competitors include FIA Formula Two drivers Alex Brundle, son of former F1 racer turned commentator Martin,  and Jack Clarke, step son of ex-Formula One driver Julian Bailey, as well as Josh Hill, son of Damon and grandson to Graham, both of whom won the F1 World Championship.

Jolyon, who recently secured his maiden GP2 podium in Abu Dhabi, said: "I'm looking forward to karting in the 'Sons of F1' race at the Top Gear Live show in London. It should be a great event and good fun as well because I will be karting against some of my previous competitors, such as Jack Clarke and Alex Brundle from Formula Two."

The event, which celebrates the world of motoring and motorsport, will also be supported by MotorSport Vision, which operates the F2 series, with a display on stand number 213. Here the MSV team will be letting visitors know about the wide range of driving experiences available at its UK circuits, which includes Brands Hatch and Outlon Park, as well as its line-up of 2012 race meetings.

Top Gear Live takes place from the 24-27 November and for more information click onto www.topgearlive.co.uk. Alternatively for further details on MSV driving experiences click here.
