17th for Jolyon in Practice 2

Jolyon Palmer finished in 17th place in this morning's second practice session in Imola, Italy.

The young Briton looked set to repeat his earlier feat of leaping up the order on his final lap, and set two very competitive sector times before his lap fell away towards the end.

Sam Bird was fastest overall but championship leader Jules Bianchi (ART) was only 14th and 20th in the two sessions - though he still fared better than his nearest points rivals, as incidents for both DAMS' Romain Grosjean and iSport's Marcus Ericsson in first practice sidelined them for session two while their cars were repaired. ART's Esteban Gutierrez also crashed right at the end of the second session.
