Following the cancellation of the two GP2 Asia events scheduled to take place in Bahrain, series organisers have arranged a replacement event this weekend in Imola, Italy.

First practice got underway at 10am local time and Jolyon, who scored his first points finish in the FIA Formula Two Championship at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in 2009, ended the 30 minute session an impressive 4th place of 26 runners, just four tenths of a second off pacesetter Giedo Van Der Garde.

Jolyon recorded his best time of 1'29.486 on the final lap of his session.
