Jolyon relishing legendary Spa circuit

British driver Jolyon Palmer says he's looking forward to this weekend's GP2 races at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit and hopes to end his run of bad luck with a maiden points finish.

The 20-year-old from Southwater, who is racing in his first season of the F1 feeder-series, will join the rest of the packed field from 26-28 August for rounds 15 and 16 at the world famous Belgian circuit.

Last time out at the Hungaroring, Jolyon endured mixed fortunes yet remained on course for a top 10 finish during a frantic second race until a spin in the final stages ended a promising performance in tricky conditions. Jolyon is now keen to move on from this and secure his first GP2 points finish at the 7.004km Spa-Francorchamps track.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's rounds Jolyon said: "I'm really looking forward to Spa. It's one of the best tracks in the world with some legendary corners. I have won at the track before and ran well there in F2 so I'm feeling confident and will be hoping for a points finish, especially after our recent bad luck."

Rounds 15 and 16 of the 2011 GP2 Series take place this weekend (26-28 August) at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, with full coverage available on Jolyon's official website. The first practice session gets underway on Friday at 11:55 (local time) followed by qualifying at 15:55. Saturday's race one begins at 15:40 with Sunday's race two starting at 10:30.
