Having concentrated on race set-up in this afternoon's final session of pre-season testing at Silverstone, Jolyon's time set earlier in the day remained good enough for 11^th fastest overall, and he completed 25 laps to add to the 36 he achieved in the morning.

"I had a spin in the morning, which flat-spotted the tyres and I only had one new set for the afternoon", said Jolyon. "We decided to focus on pitstops and race starts and as with yesterday, just as we got ready for a quick lap at the end of the day, the red flag came out."

"The pace wasn't quite there with the tyres today but we'll look through the data and I remain optimistic for the season."

Marcus Ericsson set the overall pace ahead of Ferrari protégé Jules Bianchi. Next up, the GP2 Series paddock will head to Barcelona for the second and final 2011 pre-season testing on April 19-20
