AFTER ROUND 7
Jorge Pescador is one of the latest drivers to have tested a Formula Palmer Audi car at Bedford Autodrome as the 20-year-old looks to graduate to the championship for 2010.
After an initial five lap run in cold conditions, Pescador went on to complete 92 laps during the test and admitted to being extremely impressed with the FPA car and operation. Jorge continued to make considerable progress throughout the day as he worked closely with the FPA engineers, and the Valencia-based racer now feels he is ready to make the grade in FPA.
"I was surprised by the performance of the car, particularly the powerful engine," he said. "I dedicated myself to learn the reactions of the car while trying to push as much as possible. The test was very good - it was the fourth time I had driven a single seater car, but the first time with 300bhp. I had to adapt to the dimensions, the gearbox and the brakes which were much sharper than the other cars I had previously tested."
"I really enjoyed the test and I am satisfied - now I just hope that I can race in FPA this season, because I believe I could do a good job. To race in Formula Palmer Audi in 2010 is the best option for me as it has a very good level of competitiveness and has the potential to allow me to achieve my goals. I hope to finish the season in the top three and aim to be on the Formula Two grid in 2011."
