AFTER ROUND 7
Howard Fuller is planning a return to the Formula Palmer Audi Championship in 2010, and the 17-year-old is confident of running at the front of the field having recently enjoyed a successful test at Bedford Autodrome.
Fuller was the youngest driver in the 2009 FPA line-up but that didn't stop the talented Briton from having a promising maiden campaign. He qualified a solid 14th on his main championship race debut and went on to record two top ten finishes during the course of the season. Howard made progress throughout the year, which resulted in a tenth place finish in the final round of the season at Snetterton - just two places behind eventual champion Richard Plant.
Having raced in karts and the MSV-run T Cars during his earlier teens, Fuller actually made his FPA debut in the 2008 Autumn Trophy where he finished a highly commendable eighth overall.
Howard jumped back into an FPA car last week as he completed a full test at Bedford Autodrome in damp/cold conditions. Although no official timing was recorded on the day, the youngster is optimistic about the year ahead.
"I felt confident jumping back in after the winter break and I adapted quite quickly," said Fuller. "I enjoyed the challenge of the wet and icy conditions. I'm focussing on being fit and ready for the 2010 FPA Championship and I'm going for the win this time!"
The 2010 Formula Palmer Audi Championship will commence at Brands Hatch on 8/9 May and the season will consist of 20 rounds at seven premier circuits in the UK.
