Tristan Vautier

Car Number:38
Date of Birth:22/08/1989  (21)
Country:France

Vautier joins FPA with a big reputation in single-seater racing. In his first year of competition the Frenchman finished as runner-up in Formula Renault Campus France having taken six wins and 12 podiums. He started 2007 in the ultra-competitive Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, where he scored two podiums in the opening round at Zolder - beating the likes of Formula 3 stars Jaime Alguersuari, Oliver Turvey and Mika Maki. A lack of budget meant he had to bring his campaign to a premature end, so he focussed his attention on the French Formula Renault 2.0. He finished the season fourth overall after scoring two podiums for Graff Racing.

The 19-year-old moved back to European competition in 2008, finishing sixth overall in Formula Renault 2.0 WEC - a series also contested by fellow FPA racer Maxime Jousse.
