Tom Duggan

Car Number:16
Date of Birth:21/01/1990  (20)
Country:United Kingdom
Official Website:www.tomduggan.co.uk

Yorkshireman Tom Duggan will make his single seater debut in Formula Palmer Audi this year following a hugely impressive career in karting, in which he won nine different championships in as many years.

Duggan's first title came when he was ten years old in the 2000 South Yorkshire Cadet Kart Championship. He went on to win the same championship again the following year, dovetailing the campaign with races in the National Karting Racing Association Cadet class. He was equally succesful in the latter, again ending the year as champion.

After making the transition to Junior TKM in 2002, Duggan was again back to championship winning form in 2003, taking both the South Yorkshire Junior Rotax Championship and National Karting Federation Junior Rotax titles. He made it back-to-back titles in 2004, winning what was to be his last South Yorkshire title, again in Junior Rotax.

2005 was to be one of Duggan's most succesful campaigns, and he ended the season as champion in both the British Junior Gearbox Open Championship and Renault Champion of Champions Junior Gearbox class. After a transitionary period in 2006, Duggan was again competing at the front in 2007 when he contested the Stars of Tomorrow KZ1 Championship. Having been a contender for much of the season, he finished fifth in the final standings.

Tom returned to compete in KZ1 again in 2008, and he made the most of his experience from the previous year to romp to the title. Despite 2009 being Tom's maiden season in single seaters, his outstanding karting record will certainly make him one to watch out for.
