Emma's name first came to light following some impressive results in Scandinavia.
A fantastic debut season in 2005 saw the Finnish female racer challenge for the Formula Ford Finland title, where she finished second in the overall standings.
The 19-year-old made a serious assault on the Formula Ford NEZ championship in 2006 after taking four wins, two pole positions and nine podiums, but she narrowly missed out on taking the title - eventually finishing as runner-up.
In 2007 Emma took three wins and finished third overall in the Radical Elite championship in Sweden before competing in the ADAC Formel Masters in Germany last year, where she scored one podium on her way to tenth in the overall standings.
