AFTER ROUND 7
Operation
The entire fleet of Formula Palmer Audi cars is maintained to
the highest standards in our spacious workshop at Bedford Autodrome
by our experienced team.
Each car is run by a dedicated mechanic and is prepared to
identical mechanical standards to ensure every driver has an equal
opportunity out on the track. Every car, including the driver, is
ballasted to weigh the same so even heavier drivers (up to 90kgs)
are not disadvantaged. The cars are equipped with a Stack data
logging system that generates a print out including car speed,
engine revs, throttle position, gear selection, turbo boost
pressure and G force. After every test, qualifying and
race drivers receive an overlay of data with the fastest
times from the session, all of which is administered from a
dedicated mobile office in one of the FPA trucks.
The entire operation is transported to each event in an immaculate
fleet of transporters. The FPA Race Centre uses the same
hospitality structure as the FIA Formula Two Championship, and can
accommodate 300 guests in a relaxing, luxurious trackside
environment.
